Japanese-market engines have the same quoted outputs as the US-market ones. There's no performance advantage from a J-spec engine.

You know what the difference in a Jspec and Aspec engine?

Some Japanese guy wrecked the car the Jspec came from, most likely, and stuck it in a box on a boat.

Other than no/little emissions pieces on some of the Jspecs they are pretty much the same.

Some, not most.

No EGR (S4)
No AWS
Different ACV with no split air solenoid
FPR and PD in opposite locations
Twin-scroll actuator on opposite end of exhaust manifold (S4)
No thermovalve on TB
No air bleed to secondary injectors (S4)

Unless it's an Infini special edition, it's not going to make more power.
The engines are rated at 185PS and 205PS for Zenki/Kouki respectively.  This roughly translates into 182/200 for US-Spec Zenki/Kouki respectively, which is spot on. for both countries.

I thought the only reason the infini had more power was because of the exhaust system? so the motor is still effectivly the same yeah?

An Infini engine is no different to any other FC engine. Only the exhaust was different.

Personally I believe there was a difference in power output between Japanese and US cars, even if it wasn't quoted. US cars had a precat that the Japanese cars didn't need, and you can't tell me that made no difference. But since we're talking about just the engine, and not the complete car, there'd be no difference once installed.
