JSPEC engine questions.

Just wondering. Will a JSPEC engine mount straight onto a S5 Tranny (assuming engine is also S5)? Wondering cause I am able to get a JSPEC engine fully dressed shipped to my door for really cheap.

Also, can the stock Intercooler be moved to be a FMIC? And can it be done easily?

Thanks.

everything bolts up no prob, its pretty much the same as the stock set up mounting and for the FMIC, only prob i ran into was some wiring, some of my factory stuff wasnt quite the same and some wasnt long enough, but some of my probs were because i used a 89-92 j-spec motor with my 88 T2 an most of my parts, any questions let me know i can try to help

Alright. I think I got a couple more for you.

1) The wiring harness it comes with is cut as it exits the car in Japan. Will this make it hard to install? The engine also comes with the JDM ECU and JDM Harness.

2) Would you suggest getting a Walebro fuel pump or a TII pump if I was gonna have stock IC moved to FMIC?

3) Would it matter if I used my NA clutch/flywheel or would I need a TII clutch/flywheel? Not sure if engine comes with those, might just come with flywheel but not clutch.

4) If I moved IC to FMIC and got all new piping put it, would I need to move BOV? I have no idea where that even is on these engines, and how hard would it be to move it?

I think those are all my questions for now. Thanks.

Cool, was just reading on that page, cleared up many things.

So it sounds like all I am going to need to purchase to make this work is a new fuel pump and maybe a FMIC if I decide to not move stock one up to front. And maybe the Knock Sensor. Other then that this engine supposedly comes fully dressed with all accesories and turbo, so it would bolt in and I would also need exhaust slightly changed....I think?

Thanks for linking me that site, cleared up some stuff.

If I am forgetting anything then go ahead and point it out, any info is much appreciated.
