Jspec core was almost completely useless.

Well so far the only usable items from a Jspec CORE I bought is the Manifolds and the Rotor housings.

The front rotor and plates were bad and I just brought the turbo to a local guy and the exhaust housing is crap.

If anyone has a S5 Hot side housing then PM me because I need it asap.

Thx.

Also note I mentioned Core not running Jspec.

Also the turbo guys showed a few things to look for.

You may be losing boost becaise of a bad sealing waste gate flapper. Mine was stuck open on one side almost a centimeter.

Also there is a crack on the "Exducer" or something like that. It's a main part whick if cracked can expand during heat and hit the turbine causeing some very bad stuff.

Also any one know of a hot side which will mate onto our turbo's and manifold?

The rear rotor plate and the rear rotor were fine but the front was useless. I have the front rotor at my house and am going to use it as a display.

I traded Kevin my good S5 rotor for 2 S4 rotors to help on rebuild costs.

It was completely rusted and I tried taking the apex seals out and some just broke inside the groove because they were so bad.

I'm not blaming you. You were a great help but I just happened to get a really bad engine.

I was getting ready to drop the new rebuilt engine in next weekend but this has hindered my efforts. Now I have to get a S5 Exhaust housing for the turbo.

I've sourced a S5 turbo but I need to check it's housing. Hopefully it is OK. If no then I'm screwed.

I'll either have to get a Ebay turbo or go with an aftermarket manifold and turbo which I don't have the money for since I'll have to get 720's and a SAFC.

damm man ,that sucks. I went threw 2 jspecs and both were shot. I will never buy a jspec again ,with out a written warrenty and a compression check before receiving it. It just doesnt pencil out in the math. Pay big bux for little useable parts. I was lucky, i bought locally and was able to return my junk. Still a pain in the ***.Corbit.
