J's Racing Bar
A new product has been unleashed for the FC in suspension. This is a strut bar which goes over the Upper Pillar Bar connecting it to give a more stiffer and stable chassis. I currently have one on my car and I found that the mounting locations of this bar is great in reducing the flex of the upper pillar part.

Forgive me for being incredibly skeptical, but what in the hell are you trying to stiffen up? I can see putting in front and rear strut tower braces, but bracing the rear b-pillar? There's no compression loads on that area, it doesn't help with fore/aft loading, and doesn't appear to do squat for torsion (twisting) loading, so I don't see the point.. Furthermore, that area is boxed by the roof, as well as a very very sturdy subframe bar...
Sorry Wormiez, but that's a gimmick, plain and simple. Show me some proof on what that bar stiffens if you disagree.
Regards,
PaulC

Well I've been autocrossing for a while and I have noticed after adding the bar there is a difference in less chassis flex and stability. There are chassis flex in that area but very minumum.
But I have to honest that the rear and front strut bars are more useful then the pillar bar. But it does provide stifness and together with the front and rear strut bars . The bar fits very flush on the car and does not wobble. If you pull on it it acts as if it was a Front/Rear strut bar, moving the car.
In my personal view I like the bar I have two of them mounted on my car, on the upper and lower pillar braces. I prefer these bars over a roll cage for daily driving. I'm not profiting on this group buy but show some new products for the FC availbe in japan.
I also use the pillar bar to hook on my harness for autocross but it is not recommended a harness bolt for any other sort of racing on track.
