will a 87 JDM ECU for a T2 be swapable with a 87 USDM ECU....?

in other words... will a 87 USDM T2 ECU work with a j-spec engine?

 

i have an 87 turbo 2 with a bridgeported (yes i know, stock ecu plus bport is bad, which is why i AM NOT driving it) 89 j-spec motor and it seems to be doing fine (but i will replace the ecu soon because of the bport..)

 

Hell I'm running the JDM ECU on my USDM motor. Runs fine.
