??? s5 refers to 89-91 generation of rx7's and the motors are rated at 200hp

Actually the JDM motors are rated at something like 204 or 205 bhp. Can't remember where I read that though. Maybe the Mazda.co.jp site?

But the US spec ones were the same, its just that Mazda didn't have the US license from Curtiss Wright to produce the Wankle above 200 HP for the USA market until 93, so they only claimed 200 HP.

Curtiss-Wrights's exclusive license for North America was for 35 years.
