so how will you obey speedlimits with a 180 km/h guage anyway? Ar you going to memorize what 10 15 25 35 45 55 65 and 75 are when converted from mp/h to km/h? Or get like a cheap little digital mp/h readout and have the 180 km/h j-spec analog guage for the cool factor? What are your plans for legality?

I actually like the 180km/h speedo. I don't exceed 180 often enough to want to change it, and because you have a smaller range over the same area it has much better resolution, meaning it's easier to read your speed accurately (note the marks are a 2km/h intervals). If I exceed 180 and want to know how fast I was going I can always figure it out from peak rpm later.

I'm just pointing out that you made a bit of a fool of yourself by rubbishing DarkEvilDrifter's post about the speed limiter, when he was actually right and you were wrong. This was right after my post explaining how the speed limter works, which should've made you realise he was right. It always pays to read carefully before posting. Just a bit of advice to avoid future embarrassment, nothing more.

I didn't mean to be derogitory. Sorry if anyone took it that way.

It was intended as an abriviation. I don't know if anyone did take offense, but anyone who knows me. Knows that I prefer to shorten things up. Btw thanks for pointing out the km/mph difference for me. Icemark your a smart man. To NzConvertable yes it would be a friendlier place, but there wouldn't be as many things for people to argue about. That is what helps make the society function.
