as long as they are S4 to S4 or S5 to S5. The surround is backwards so the signals are on the right and the cruise is on the left. So without changing the wiring it would be hard to use the surround. Do you have the surround with Cruise control? I need one.

You have a Jspec cruise? When it is pointing to the left you will be able to read the writing on it. how much do you want for it? I have a few surrounds or can at least buy a jspec one if I need it.

And the oil pressure gauge is in kg/cm2 instead of psi.

I'm pretty sure you'll find all the different calibrations for different speedos (160mph in the US, 180km/h in Japan, 240km/h in Australia, etc) is done internally, so if you stick this in a US car it will read accurately, i.e. it will run out of numbers at 112mph. Seems pretty pointless to me.

Nope, the speed limiter is in the ECU, not the cluster. It just gets a signal from the speedo. Unless you have a J-spec ECU and the correct wiring, there is no limiter.

...im so tried of hearing jap...
Jap is derogatory? How can an abbreviation be derogatory?

tell me how a screw is in the guage cluster is going to limit your car's speed? The FCs have no limitation device for seepd, just RPM and that's recorded in the ECU not the guage cluster. The guage cluster is just a way YOU can see what's going on with your car.

Jspec FC's are speed limited.

And the ECU gets the signal from the speedometer.

The gauge cluster is used for more than just seeing "what's going on". There are several circuits that feed the ECU, cruise control, power steering computer, etc.

In future, you might want to be a little less aggressive when talking about a topic you don't actually know anything about. My post directly above your should've been a big clue that maybe you didn't have all the facts...

"Jap" itself not a common-use term, but stuff imported from Japan is often referred to as a Jap-import (especially cars) and nobody seems to mind.

And technically it is an abbreviation, since it's a shortened version of a word.

But what if it wasn't from Japan? Imagine the confusion!

We call them Jap imports because they're from Japan and it's a convenient abbreviation. If it was from Germany it would be called a German import because "Ger import" doesn't quite work.

The world would be a friendlier place if people stopped taking offense at the little things. Not arguing, just philosophising...

Yep, yet we still have members here that complain when people use terms like that.

What is the advantage of going from a 160 mph speedometer, to a 112 mph speedometer??? If anything, you would think folks would want to have a 180mph, or a 200mph speedometer.

I think we skipped over one of the posters orignal questions.
Difference between the clusters - Jspec has KM/H ONLY (in case you forgot, my canadian cluster km/hr....but mph also)

maybe you took it as agressive. I just use all caps when I'm too lazy to italicize and I knew enough about it to practically re-post what you posted above me. so don't try and be the mature one by calmly telling me to shut up in a nice way, my post was completely fine unquoted.
