Jacobs Instuctions

I have had the Jacobs for a long time brand new in the box. Well I finally went to hook it up and the directions are missing. I emailed RX7.com and they sent me to sets of directions saying two different ways to hook it up. One set cuts the wire on the harness, one set cuts the wires on the coil. I have an '88 GTU, my leading coil has a black and a faded brown or yellow wire. Black going to the Negative side and Brown/Yellow going to the Positive side. For those of you that have put it on what is the proper way for an '88 model.

Thanks,
Smoke

the intructions that RX7.COM gave me tell me to cut into the coils and they're the same as the instructions from www.fc3s.org I believe the harness cutting thing are the 3rdgen and they get a special harness that plugs into the stock harness. You should have gotten some sort of plug harness that make is easier to solder the wires then connect to the Propak. All in all it took me like 45 mins to do. Good Luck

Wire colors

What wire colors to what wire colors did you use? Rocky told me that the instructions he gave me might have been for the 89 up cars. The jacobs has the green, red, white, and black wires. Which ones go to what.

Come guys

I know that someone out there has the jacobs on their car and it works. Can someone tell me what wire the green wire on the jacobs goes to and what wire the red wire goes to. The directions I have tells me to hook up one wire to the positive post but connect it to the negative wire. I just trying to get this right.

Thanks

Alright these are the EXACT sam instructions that I Got from RP's and they went on my 89. By the way the Propak is really nice. Ok here goes:
It connects to the leading coil set which is under the hood, behind the drivers side headlight.

Disconnect the Battery cable (-) and the leading spark plug wires

Remove the black plastic coil terminal cover from coil ( marked L1 L2), and disconnect the brown and black wires from the coil.

Connect the wires from the Energy Pak as Follows (4conductor black cable )

ENERGY PAK CAR

RED Brown (went to coil originally) from ignitor

GREEN Black (went to coil originally) from ignitor

WHITE + terminal of coil (where brown was connected also labeled on the coil.)

Black - terminal of coil ( where black wire was connected, also labeled with a - sign.)

you replace the black plastic coil terminal cover.

Connect the heavy red wire to the battery (+) terminal and the Heavy BLACK wiere to the battery (-) terminal.

Instal fuse and fuse cover.

I hope this helps out. These were the same instructions that i used on my 89 and my friends 87. Solder everything and you should be ok
best of luck
