Jacobs Energy Pak Ignition
Anyone know how to hook up this ignition system to an 88 RX7? I downloaded instructions from their website, but the schematics don't match my car.

for the 86-91 rx-7's it is the same for na or turbo.
For the Jacobs Pro-Pak installed on the leading coil set. The leading coil set is located behind the drivers side headlight under the hood. The igniter is located directly under the coils. It is the small aluminum 'box' that the coils are screwed to.
-Disconnect battery.
-Tape off twisted red (or orange) and purple wire on Jacobs module.
-Tape off (might be twisted together)small red and small black wires on Jacobs module.
-Brown wire is for an optional aftermarket tach or ems signal.
-remove black plastic coil terminal cover form coil (marked L1 and L2), and disconnect the brown and black wires form the factory coil.
Connect wires from Energy Pak as follows:
ProPak to Car
Red to Brown (went to coil originally) from igniter
Green to Black (went to coil originally) from igniter
White to (+) terminal of coil (where brown wire was connected)
Black to (-) terminal of coil (where black wire was connected)
-You replace black plastic coil terminal cover.
-Connect heavy red wire to (+) positive side of battery.
-Connect heavy black wire to (-) negative side of battery.
-Install fuses and covers
-Connect battery
Now to see if it works, connect leading plug to your tounge and crank engine jk
