j-spec swap, no oil pressure sender

so after reveiwing some wiring on my s4 TII j-spec motor i realized there is no oil pressure sender on the rear iron. I think i have one from my NA but i was wondering what happens if i dont plug it in. I have and aftermarket mechanical gauge.

I'd say, if you leave the hole open, that you should be able to drain almost all your oil out of the engine in about four/five minutes if you don't rev it very high.

All the oil pressure senders are the same. Why not put the n/a one in??????

I probably misunderstood the question. Must have.

EDIT: oh, you mean there is no wire and connector to go on the oil pressure sender. If you don't connect a wire to it...............absolutly nothing bad will happen. Yeah, that must be what you meant.

DOUBLE EDIT: Now you've really got me confused. The oil pressure senders wire is Yellow/Red. It is a part of the ENGINE harness. The ENGINE harness runs along the left side of the engine and feeds the CAS/Alternator(turbo only), engine fuse box etc.

The Emissions harness does not carry the oil pressure senders feed wire.

Again, it's a part of the Engine harness. It interfaces with the Front harness at a plug with a reference designator called X-04 located just around and below the brake booster area.....give or take a half foot in any direction.

well as long as you're not leaking oil, who cares? use the aftermarket gauge, it's far more responsive than the stock one
