I think he was reffering to how you acted after the first reply. To Slipin's post. Slipin had a valid point.

He would sell it for 2500. would you say its worth the time and work. I think so but i like some advice from some more experiance people.
$2500 for an FC with a blown motor? Who cares if its rare...no thanks. And it has a sunroof! The point of a GTUs was to be a stripped down, no frills, lightweight car...why would you install a sunroof?

Some J-specs make good cores for rebuilds, even the importers typically have 10-20 of them laying around with no compression. We have also received several j-specs that had compression but NO oil control seals, we have also seen bad coolant seals and eroded coolant seal retaining walls. We do not recommend installing a J-spec engine to any of our customer's without rebuilding first. Often it is cheaper to rebuild your existing engine, but that is your choice.

well here in calgary, we have a pretty good shop that sells jdm engines.

THey gaurentee it, steam clean it, and give a compression test in front of you if you pick it up. Personally, if im going to go there (5 blocks away) and check one out, I'll take the one that has compression of about 100psi or more. If there are none, I can wait.

This is all fine and dandy becuase the place is local and very big across canada, but for people who can't actually go an inspect a jdm engine before buying, I know what you mean when you say its risky.
