They range from $650 to $1000 depending on supplier and quality/warranty. Jspec engines are the same as aspec versions, with a couple of minor emissions devices and hoses moved/deleted. There is a small hp difference between jspec and aspec CARS, but this is attributed to alternate ecu prgramming and exhausts between the 2 vehicles...the internals of a jspec are identical to an aspec f the same year.

If its puked an apex seal chances you will need a rebuild kit:

1000$ rebuild kit
1000$ rotor/housing to replaced the damaged ones
1200$ time/labour

1000$ rebuild kit
You can do it for about $600 parts if you dont destroy all your side seals, springs, etc when taking it apart.

1000$ rotor/housing to replaced the damaged ones
Uh, do you buy all your parts NEW? You can get used t2 rotors and housings all day long for about 50-100 bucks each.

1200$ time/labour
IF you pay someone to do the r & r, and the rebuild, with a streetport, this is about accurate, for me anyway. IF you do the r & r yourself, cut that to about 6 or 800.

FOr instance, I can pull a blown t2 engine, rebuild, paint, and port it, put it back in and get it running reasonably well in about a week or 2, for around $2000.
