j-spec engines

Just wondering if anyone has a j-spec engine and what are your experiences with them? It seems like an economical way to replace a blown motor. I've heard the Japanese really thrash their vehicles in general, and apparently its illegal to put more that 30,000 km on them (weird). But hey, around $900-1000 for a 87-88 TII motor with around 20,000 miles?! Sounds like a deal!

Where did you get the engine? From an individual or a supplier? Did it come with many accesories? Good to hear positive results.

From a shop that deals with J-spec importing. No accesories, just a 90 day warranty. Comes with everything, Except for alternator and radiator.
