It's ALIVE!
Got my T2 back today, after many trials and tribulations, it's finally ready. They were all ready to give it back last week and then noticed a weird timing problem, my ECU was going crazy and advancing the timing way too far forwards, which may have contributed to it blowing up in the first place. Unfortunately, S5 Turbo ECUs are sort of hard to come by, so right now I'm running around with a computer from a non-turbo and my wastegate wired open, just to get some break-in miles on it while we find a new ECU.
The work done:
Rebuild
Street port
Water jacket mod
Cryo treated stationary gears
TB mod
Anything and everything oil related inside the motor
Higher pressure oil reg
RB lightened flywheel
SS lines with AN fittings for the fuel system, Aeromotive FPR, filter.
Even though I can't put my foot in it, it runs great. Anyone got a spare N370 ECU to sell me?
