I have an '89 GXL, stock. I'm going through spark plugs like nobody's business. I mean it seems like every month i have to change them. I'm also having a problem when she starts up, like its flooding. If I leave it for more than an hour or so its hard to start. Once it starts.. its rough till i rev it up then it clears out.. and idles fine (minus the TPS problem). open to suggestions. thanks guys.

oh.. my exhaust.. is semi stock... its basically manifold to straight pipe. cat was clogged and mufflers were busted.

 

leaking injectors, falty FPR, or the motor is really tired. those would be my first guesses.

 

yeah.. i was figuring my injectors were leaking. i've hooked up a fuel pump cutoff switch. yeah the motor might be a little tired...its got 116,xxx miles on it. I have a feeling that it might be time to rebuild. I have a sneaky suspition that a coolant seal is going or gone. small air bubles in my coolant. and it seems to be leaking.
