Issue installing Slave after Spec* Stage 2 Clutch
So I was out in the garage this morning trying to button up little bits and pieces and decided to install the slave cyl. I could not for the life of me get the slave to line up with the holes on the bell housing. I made sure to fully compress the slave cyl and it would not line up still.. SO I took about 1/16th of an inch off the actuating rod with a grinder and put the cyl back together.
I have installed the slave and it appears to be functioning just fine, are there any real concerns with the method I used to get this slave in place? IS there a logical reason besides the fact that the new pressure plate may be a little stiffer than the OEM plate, as to why it wasnt going in??
Open to your thoughts..

Not being a dick, but it was probably just you. I have had random luck getting that damn thing on. Sometimes it will go in just fine, other times is terrible. But what you did probably won't affect it whatsover. 1/16" shouldn't be too bad. As long as you can still fully engage the clutch and fully disengage it, you'll be just fine.

The mounting holes on an N/A slave are in a different position than the TII slave.
they can't be mismatched( N/A slave to TII and vice versa).Either it won't be "snug" or it you will have to cram it in the spot..both ways you get CRAP.NO go.
It definitely sounds like YOUR problem now.
Change the N/A Slave to a TII,and voila..done!

OK.. Can anyone show me the mounting point differences? My slave bolts up fine now that I shortened the actuator rod. The slave is more compressed than I usually see, but appears to be functioning. I want to figure out "exactly" what stops the N/A slave from working a t2 fork. Because if it is simply that the n/a Slave is set closer to the fork than shortening the rod would have solved the fitment problem. If there is another issue than I want to figure that out..
Thanks for your help

One of the slaves has mounting holes in the middle of the barrel.
the other one has mounting holes near the Front of the slave, near the Bleeder screw.
