I have an issue with 4th gear. I just had a new clutch n FW installed. put royal purple gear oil in. the issue is that it just doesnt feel like it wants to go into gear. All my others gear work fine. I need a new bushing also. Never did it b4 untill ihad the new clutch and FW installed. My cars an 88 n/a. Also its a Act 6 puck clutch wit h a Zoom LFW.

 

Mazdatrix.com has a great writeup on how to replace the shifter bushings. I would start there and see if it fixes the problem. I've seen cars in service that won't go into reverse and bushings will fix the problem. Also the mazda dealership won't offer the correct bushings or alteast one is missing.

 

oo damn, i was goign to go to tasca mazda and see if they had the right part. where would i go to get something like that? I wont use mazdatrix again for items they suck, n there a pain in *** on the phone and rude.
