on a S5 TII.. is it normal?? doesn't it kill stuff in it's way?? the cat should suffer bad, but the turbo ?? OMG ??

If backfiring was a terribly bad and car damaging thing, then race cars probably wouldn't be backfiring...

I don't even have the car (yet ) but one thing that I noticed is that it backfires but without flame. cause of cat behing present I was told.. now about fixing it?

Ok, the thread starter may not be shakespeare but you guys are waaaay too harsh, especially since most of you joined in the last couple of months. The question has some validity, a backfire that is large enough can damage your mufflers/pre-silencers.

I don't see why his post warrants being made fun of like that, mods please close this thread.

hey.. nice to see a serious poster. thx dude... Ive used search but didn't find answer to my question...
what causes backfire? doesn't it damage the turbo?
