I don't see any advantage in that over a cone filter. That shop has some really fantastic race gear, but I think the filter unit is just one of their auxiliary items that they just happen to put up for sale. They specialize more in building NA engines and drivetrains, and setting up suspensions.
However, if you really want to get the goods on that product, simply call them on the phone.
I don't understand what you mean.
For those of you who don't know, ISC is the premier IT/EP race shop in Florida, and it also has an excellent reputation nationally. Their products may seem strange to you guys because they are a race shop, not a street performance shop, and their products and services are intended for the track. The owner of that shop has been a front-running RX-7 race driver ever since I can remember.

The one on the left is for S5; the one on the right is for S4. They won't work any better than a normal pod filter (since that's basically what they are) but the squared off edge at the AFM entry would not flow very well. I wouldn't touch it.

If we're talking $10, I'd hit it.
But it's most likely around $100...

This is good for use with a real K&N filter on an S4:

You can get the K&N filter from most local or online performance shops. It is good for 10 years or a million miles, with cleaning & re-oiling intervals every 50,000=100,000 miles. Here is a list:

The recharger filter care service kit shown here. Don't bother buying one now because you don't need it until 50,000-100,000 miles later, and the car may not even last that long, lol.
