Irratic Idle

Just need some help on getting my rx7 to have a steady idle. Don't know much about rotary's but what is my 86 non turbo rx7 suppose to be idling.
.
I played around with the air intake screw and the gas restriction line. Was wondering if it can be my timing. But the only time i came close to messing up my timing is when had to loosen my belt to remove the alternator.

So yeah want some of this forum's 2 cents

For starters, get a free copy of the shop manual at one of the links in the 2nd gen FAQ. And, if after you've consulted the manual you still have questions, try searching the forum for answers.

You can't mess up your timing by loosening the belt.
