Irradic Idle

Hey guys, I was in traffic today and I noticed that my idle was out of control, going from almost stallign to around 1100 RPMs. The interestign thing is the next time I went to drive the car, a short while later, the idle was fine. I don't believe in things fixing themselves so I was wondering if any of you guys knew what the problem might be.

was the car at regualr operating temps when you started it later??? if so then it could be a bad ground that came loose somewhere.
TPS is out of adjustment or bad
That's what I thought it would be. Another quick thing, it seems like when this problem is happening, like I said it isn't all the time, it seems like the clutch has no friction point. I could tell because when I was in stop and go traffic, the RPMs would shoot all the way down so I have to do gas while holding the clutch where the friction point should be to move up a few feet. Is this also TPS related.

yep.

When the trottle position sensor is just out of alignment, tempature changes can trigger a bad reading
