Intermittent Warning/ Hazard Lights.

Ok, so I'm in the process of making all my hazard lights work, since when I got the car, none of them did. I've gotten some of the main ones to function properly, however there are still a few that I'm working away at.

Anyways, lately on certain occasions when I have the key in the ON position and the door open, the car makes the "ding, ding" sound. This is new to this particular car. Also yesterday when I had the key in the ON position before I started it, all of the hazard lights came on, and proceeded to go vanish when I started the car just as it should! I was amazed. The temp. fan light also came on for the first time in the gauge. Can anybody explain the reason/ what causes this to happen?

Thanks,

Simon

Simon , If you are wondering why no one is replying its because they don't know weather you have a VW or a rickshaw .

Oh, I just figured my signature spoke for itself. It's an 1987 Turbo II. I searched the topic and read through the FSM, I'm just stumped!

Ya, it's not in the hazard cluster, it's in the instrument cluster. Just a little red light next to the temp. gauge. The only time it came on was when the other lights all came on so I figured it was related.
