I'm currently having intermittent A/C issues. At times during start-up, the A/C will not kick in (can't hear any actuation noise/usual click that occurs when car is set to on) or really weak(practically not working), regardless of what is set on the Logicon Control Unit, and then turns on after driving the car for a couple of minutes. I've recharged the system, and a previous owner has converted it to R134A. I've noticed that some of the lights do not work on the Logicon Unit, notably the "air circulation for the interior only" and A/C light when they're actuated. I have an instructor at my auto tech college who worked at a Mazda dealership on RX7's for many decades, told me it could be my Logicon itself or "fan amp" (not sure what he means by this) for my AC.

Any thoughts on what the problem might be? Just wanted to hear other's thoughts on this. Any help would be appreciated, cheers!

 

Next thing I'd try would be resoldering and recapping the logicon.
