Interior panel fasteners
Interior panel fasteners
I've sometimes had to take out various of the interior panels on my '90 convertible. No matter how careful I am, sometimes I break the little push-in fasteners which hold in things like the kick panels, or the inside skins in the trunk. They're 36 years old and plastic is getting brittle
There are at least 3 varieties; one with a 20mm head and 7mm serrated shank, one with a 10mm head and the same shank, and one with a small plastic insert, which you push in flush to lock, and push in a little more to unlock.
Does anybody know the part numbers for those things? I couldn't find them in the parts manual. Or if anybody has a good source for replacements which will work, that would be appreciated. I got a box of assorted fasteners, and some of them sort of fit, but they're not great.
Hints appreciated.

I bought just a few of all the ones linked above. Ive found some success with these in the interior.

I've had great luck here:

Some will be exactly what you're looking for, others will be close enough.

ive had good luck by just putting Mazda's part number into teh googles. if it doesn't come up with something directly, there is usually a picture with measurements
I figured on doing just that, but per post 1, I can't figure out where to find the part numbers for those fasteners. Hints?
