My question is, does this sound like logicon troubles, or a bad connector?

Ok, so I know my old control unit was bad so I pulled it out and replaced it with another one that I had. It works much better now, however when I turn the fan on, it sometimes turns on and sometimes doesn't, and sometimes are can hear the relay that runs in cycling on off. However usually if I play with the controls for a second it will stay on.
