Interesting...adding Pre Mix Solved My 3800 Rpm Hesitation..

I have an 88 s4 thats had the hesitation thing for quite some time....I added a pint of pennzoil two stroke oil to about 3/4 of a tank of gas and immediately the hesitation stopped and she runs like a scalded dog....tried everything else over the past three years or so and I was actually adding the oil to trouble shoot a seeming injector problem.....evidently those injectors get plugged....

premix? now that i dont understand at all. is it possible it could be not due to a clogged injector but a stuck one? (my thoughts) that the injectors arent activating properly b/c the actual pin inside it is sticky?

thats the only thing i can think of....all I know is they have consistently not worked then immediately started after putting in the premix...I am told by Wayne that there is a poppet that moves up and down in the injector so it could get stuck and the oil loosened them up....coool eh...

....matter of fact...you would not have to keep the oil in there all the time but just an occaisional treatment as prevention and it could actually be good for things....eh

that's a bit odd... You'd think that premix would actually gum things up even more?

Right on.

maybe the premix lowered the octane rating of your fuel, and your car likes the lower rating...

Here's my theory- The extra lubricant film in the rotor housings caused the compression to rise, and by extension caused the manifold vac to rise, which caused the boost/ pressure sensor to sooner sense the loads necessary to activate the secondaries at the proper time. Viola, instant gratification
