Interested in a FC...
I am very interested in Buying a Savannah RX-7 FC. The one with the 13b TT. But I been wondering how reliable is that engine? I always wanted a RX-7 but the fact that it runs on a Rotary engine is what scares me, because people keep saying bad stuff about it. Can you guys tell me if its reliable enough?
Also I really take good care of my car. I am very high maintenance when it comes to cars. Always put in the highest octance. Change oil every 2,500-3,000 miles and every month or so put in the fuel injector cleaner.
If you get a car with low miles that haas been treated well and you continue to treat it well, you will probably do just fine with a rotary powered car. The reason everyone says rx-7's are unreliable is because rotaries are unforgiving of neglect. Take care of it and it will take care of you.
I also do wanna race it. I race my hatchback right now. I never go near redline i always shift 500-600 before. I change oil before and after race anc clean out injectors. I take good care of my car. The RX-7 I have been looking at has 40k miles. Its a beautiful car. And very very clean!
Ok first of all, there is no Rx-7 Savannah (FC) that comes with TT (twin turbo) If its a TII you're looking for (turbo 2) it comes with one single small practical turbo. Try to find one maybe on auto trader or in the buy/sell section of this forum that is unmodified. Unmodified would be your best bet for the least problems. You also want low miles, Anything under 90k miles might suffice (at least it would for me). If you change your oil every 2000 miles and clean your injectors, you're going to have a happy rx7.
Good luck to you!
Good luck to you!
