Intercooler spray bar, boost pressure

Has anyone ever tried to use boost pressure to fill the water container for the spray bar. I assume this would save weight and you could store the extra pressure in the water container untill you engage the spray bar switch.

anyone see any problems with this?

I was also told to add salt to the ice water to make 0 degrees. I also assume if the FMIC is grounded no corrosion?

Stuff like this has been done for a long time. A small boost line is plumbed from the intercooler piping to the water jug, and another line leads from the jug to the sprayer or injection tube. The disadvantage is that it's hard to control exactly how much water is sprayed.

Adding salt causes the ice to melt faster, chilling the water more then it would naturally. Getting it quite a bit below zero is possible.

Salt will corrode the intercooler but I doubt that would ever be an issue. More of an issue would be the salt clogging your nozzles. Grounding has nothing to do with it.
