intercooler on a n/a...
I am planning on swaping/rebuilding the engine on my FC. I want a turbo in it(not sure if T2). I would like to know if there are fmic kits out there for the FC. I am not even considering a smic for a T2 setup since I am not buying the hood.
What options are there? I am not too crazy about special order from Japan but will at least consider it.

yes they have FMIC kits.
SMIC is either slant mount intercooler (like stock on FD) or side mount intercooler (uhm i forget what uses these)
I think the T2 has a TMIC which is top mount intercooler. Maybe I'm wrong
but anyways try

there are others, but those are some of the main ones.

Usually SMIC means Stock Mount Intercooler, but as far as I know this is just internet slang, so I guess it could stand for whatever you like.
You will need to decide on a turbo and intake configuration before you decide on an intercooler "kit". You will most likely need to find a suitable intercooler core and make your own plumbing. I highly recommend reading Spearco's catalog before you fork out $1,000 or more on some intercooler kit just because it looks shinier than the other kits.

I didn't even think about the intake part of it. i guess it doesnt really have to be one way or another since the piping is most likely going to be costume made anyways.
As far as the i/c goes, i would like to stay as far away from top mount as possible.
I really do not have any faith in the stock FD i/c but thats another idea that could possibly work--tranplant to the FC--
Thanx for the help guys!!
