Intercooler Fans??

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how effective if would be to rig some fans directly onto the radiator?? I was thinking maybe something like a small Rad fan on a stock intercooler. Is this a good idea for cheap performance or would it not work and im just being dumb? honest opinions and please, and no flaming (please!) -alex

Much like a radiator, the fan will only help when the car is at a stop or extremely low speed. It's probably a waste of time unless you are trying to combat heat soak in a drag car, or if your intercooler is positioned such that it cannot get any ram air. Also like a radiator, if you do put a fan on the intercooler, make sure it is a puller fan because a pusher fan will impede the air once the car gets up to speed. I dont see how a fan would help a stock intercooler, but you can certainly try to be creative.

If you could fit fans under the TMIC (which you can't), then it would work quite well at combating heat soak from travelling at load speed or sitting stationary. It wouldn't help once at speed though.
