intake question

on an 87 TII is there any way to remove the lower intake manifold without droping the turbo? Also when you replace the gasket are there any special steps needed to keep it from blowing out. I replaced mine about 2 monthe ago and it seems like it is already gone. What is the best gasket to use to replace it? Are the mazda paper ones fine. Ive got a street ported engine running about 10 pounds of boost.

No, you have to pull the turbo. Use a new factory gasket and new coolant o-rings. I dress the gaskets with rtv, be sure not to use too much and block the small vacuum holes on the manifold.
