Intake Ports; S4TII vs. S5TII

Intake Ports; S4TII vs. S5TII

I was just looking @ the intake gasket section of Mazdatrix's site, when I noticed the S5 intake gasket's secondairy runner cutouts are quite a bit larger than the S4's.

With all the talk of casting differences, I was wondering...

As I'm getting S4 TII irons, can the flange-edge of the ports be ported out to S5 spec's?

I intend to use a completely custom manifold, so that's not a problem; just a matter of if there's enough metal there.
