Intake manifold question.

I have an 88 TurboII. Right now i am in the process of rebuiding it. i am trying to replace all my parts in the car. I was wondering if theres anything that i can do with my intake manifol. if theres an aftermarket one or just a mod that i can do for the manifold. i want to bridge port my car and a turbo that can boost quickly and about 20psi. thanks for the info.

i hope you have money for those mods man!

BUt as for your intake mani you can gasket match it and port the **** out of it, if you have no emissions stuff, the best way to pick up a little flow is to patch up the little holes in the runners and then grind them smooth, and polish the **** out of the inside to get it all as big(equal to the gasket size) all the way down, and if you are rebuilding the motor you can port the block to match the lim gasket and you will have the smoothest flow and quicker throttle responce.

I have modified the T-II manifold (and n/a's) by cutting apart the dynamic chamber, hollowing it out to one big plenum and then welding it back together. Then you just use a Mustang throttlebody. Works like a champ and gives better flow which would help on a bridgeport. This is assuming you have optimized the turbo size and are using an aftermarket ecu. The downside is that your gas mileage suffers somewhat and your low end power is lower as well. Mid and high end are very nice though. I never cared though since both of my RX-7's are play cars.
