Unhappy intake install? (i posted pics)

how the heck are u supposed to plug in the sensor on the bottom of the air filter when u install a custom intake? here is some pics of what im talking about...

the red circled thing was plugged into the bottom of my factory air filter box...does it need to be plugged in now?
(copy and paste URL's, they dont seem to want to cooperate)

Did you also add a stand alone EMS? If not you'll need to reinstall the AFM as the car will not run without it and if it does it will run bad.

Ahh! You need to put your air flow meter back on! It'd be extremely bad to run the stock ECU without it on there! If this is a 86-88 then it's a big grey thing that needs to be taken off the factory airbox and then the cone put on that, if it's an 89-92 it's a black tube (kind of looks like a vacuum attachment), this has to be put back on and the plug you have circled will plug back into this.

yes the filter goes onto the Air flow meter, which gets pluged back in. you can't just clamp the filter onto the rubber pipe. the car will not run.

typical geocities error. just click on the link and when the new browser window appears go to the address and add a space in front of the http. then hit enter and it will display the pic.

i was looking at that and thing, "hmm, could you take the afm out of that big *** metal thing with the flapper and stick it on the inside of that cone filter?"

Ahhh thanx for all the info guys...i guess ill have to reconfigure it, it did seam a little odd ill work on that tonight...if i can make an adapter for the filter/afm....
filter sort of sucks..but yeah ill make due

AFM INSTALLED

heh had to expand the diameter of the AFm cuz it was kinda small but did that..sealed it off nicely and everythign is coo now..thx guys...here is a new pic of it...just copy/paste it in a new browser cuz geocities is dumb. http://www.geocities.com/joshuamadakor/afm.jpg

Just attatch them somewhere i like test area 51 and tehn link from there.... my SIG is still 'hosted' on the forum ...after like a year
