Intake Gsaket questiion. If you have time to type search, you have time to put a link

Ok here is what I am wondering can a bad intake gasket cause a car to not idle, and flood on start up? I have to unflood my car to start it. Once started I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running. I have checked all my vac lines, and made sure everything was plugged in. I have also searched but I could not find anything real specific to my dilema. I see a couple others have the same symptoms but they have not found out the problem. If they did they did not post the problem. Anyway any help appreciated.
To those who like to post search on every new thread why dont you just help people if you know of a thread by linking them to it? No need to waste everyones time by writing "SEARCH" including your own. You can see by the title of the thread what its about, so what if it has been asked a thousand times just skip it if you do not wanna help.
Thanks for anyones time in advance!

Flooding & vac leaks are two seperate issues, but fixing only one will make the other more of a problem.

It's possible you fixed the vac leak that was working your idle and now it idles too slow to run by itself.
Back out the bleed screw to increase idle.
It it's not enough, the find & adjust the throttle stop, then re-adjust the TPS.

Some may put me down, but I have seen injector cleaner work when I used it at 2 bottles in 1/4 tank of gas.

Idle, yes, flood - no

How about posting more data- year mileage condition. Sounds like you have an older or high mileage car with some major vacuum leaks (hoses plugged in means nothing -0 can have holes in vacuum lines under LIM as an example) and possible weak compression and/or leaky injectors - there is some stuff for you to search on specifically - and try not to be such a smart ****. If you don't like somone's comments - don't read them.

It gets real old when individuals come to the board - post a general problem and want a full diagnosis of their car. I myself have told people to search and READ the FAQ. It is unbelievable how much info is in here.

I dunno I have the same problem, I cant figure out what my cause is. I replaced all sensors and ECU. I have new wires, plugs, injectors, fuel pump etc. My car is basically brand new. Except for the Jspec I threw in last year. I will compression test as soon as I get a tester.
As far as the people always saying search I agree SHUT IT! Somtimes I have searched for hrs and found nothing. Other times I do find what I am looking for. So I agree so what dont read a thread if it is nothing you can contribute to. Just think everytime someone writes search it adds a post to their name. Then when people have a bunch of posts by their name they think they are somhow smarter. When I 1st came on here one member told me what I said meant alot considering I had 20 posts or whatever. In a sarcastic tone I am sure. Whatever. People bashing people who need help is just stupid. Try to help em or ask a question. Sometimes asking a good question will help someone diagnose the problem. Lets quit the flaming as RX owners we should all be on the same team trying to keep these somtimes nightmare of car going.
