Intake Air temp sensor resistance

What is it supposed to be? Well, i guess the range.

At cold start up, i am getting about 29k OHMs. When warm / hot, it is reading 19k OHMs.

So, i am wondering if this is normal or not. Reason I am looking at it, is because my car pulls very hard and smooth when it is cold, but once it gets up to temp, it doesn't pull as hard. This is of course using the ever reliable butt dyno.

Thanks for any information.

RX7city.com has all the chapters of the factory service manual.

Not sure about S4, but my S5 manual has on page f2-80 that it should read
33 give or take 4ohms cold
3.5 give or take .4ohms warmed up

Cool! Thanks.

I'll take a look in the fsm. I looked through it a couple times and must be looking in the wrong area.

Sounds like maybe the sensor is a little foobar. Or, maybe something else wrong?

Thanks again!

Follow up to my own post. haha

So. If it is reading about the right while cold, but not right when warm, would this cause a rich or lean condition when warm?

Thanks again!

I think i need to replace it. haha...

Best place to buy a new sensor? I see $60 from mazdatrix.

The sensor measures air temperature not engine temp. It is probably a different sensor or the engine has marginal compression. Sometimes a car just feels slower after driving it for a while, you get used to it.
