Intake Air Temp Sensor

Hi to all!
I have a TII S4 engine and my IAT sensor broke (no wonder I'm getting 9mpg even with brand new O2 sensor, spark plugs and spark plugs wires) .
Do I need to get a S4 IAT sensor or can the S5 one be used too? How much does it cost aproximately and where could I get it?

Best regards

I say, give the dealer a call to get the price and part number and to see if it is the same for the S5 and go from there.

Which IAT sensor are you referring to? There's one in the AFM, and one in the...Hmm, I don't know where the other one is in the turbos, lol...On the NA's it's in the TB/ dynamic chamber, so it's gotta be close to that for the turbos...

In any case, if you have access to them, whip out the FSMs for both cars, and look at the testing charts for each sensor. Section 4 of the S4 FSM, probably about the same for the S5.
If both sensors have the same resistance and/or voltage specs, they're probably interchangeable...

The IAT is on the TB elbow IIRC. And I have tons of them available.
