insurance q... a different one...

ok, i know that we've all gone over how much we pay and stuff, but i was wondering who actually has full coverage (including comp and collision) vs. minimal coverage. Because, i mean, comp & coll essentially doubled my rate (when i rated myself for a fc)... and i mean, our cars themselves are not worth much to an insurance company, so if we get in an accident that's not our fault, we're not going to be getting much for it... you kno? so like... yeah... comp & coll? liability only?

Full coverage on RX7

Its a 'vert. Its in excellent condition. God forbid if it gets stolen or wrecked. I won't be allowed to buy any more toys if anything happens to this one. That is why I insure it fully, keep many pictures of it, keep all receipts for work/accessories/etc., and hammered the insurance agent with many questions concerning my policy.

i was talking to my coworker, and he was like, ok... you're going to spend 3k on a car... then you're going to pay an additional 700 bucks a year (i'm around 500/year min. liab, and 1200 a year w/comp/coll no deductible <no deductible vs. 500/500 is like 20 bucks>), and in 3 years, my i will have paid more for comp/coll than my car in itself... is it worth it? i mean, and you're not even going to get the full value of ur car back... he was like, jsut get min. liab, medical and unisured motorist, and drive EXTRA careful...

Yes. It depends on what your car is worth (to you), what you are worth (to the lawyers), and how much the premiums are for the different coverages. I'm sure that you are smart enough to do the math to weigh your risk vs. cost and make a good decision.

What happens if i mod the hell out of my 7?

a while ago i was told that if you have proper recipts of what you ahve done you can get some of the money for the additional lots parts AKA if i spend 6k on a Guru Dog box 5speed and it dies in the accident, they give me some if not all of money to replace that make of the tranny

then like 2 weeks ago someone told me the exact oppisit, they said i would only get the value of my car back unless i get collectors insurance or smoething

should i just go min liablity? i paid 1100 for the car and my insurance after deductables on my parents policy is 1700 for full coverage
