Instrument Cluster Lights

Hey guys having an electrical problem with my 86 REX. My gauge cluster lights work when i have the parking lights on, but as soon as i swith the headlights on, i loose all power in my gauge cluster. Im tryin to aviod buying and guessing so if anyone has ideas of what could be wrong throw them my way, thanks

check the voltage meter and see what its reading, does it only do it at idle? mine did the same thing when i bought it cause the battery was on its way out.

possibly your headlight switch? or a relay? although i dont recal a relay directly for that i would bet the headlight switch

I didn't think bumps were allowed in this section and yes, check the battery +1

You are right, bumps are forbidden here in the 2nd gen RX-7 technical section, and his bumps have been deleted.

and as covered in the FAQ for FC sticky thread at the top of this section... no dash lights= bad headlight switch
