iceblue, I can't be bothered with this anymore, since you seem totally unwilling to learn. Instead, why don't you tell me why I should believe you're right and I'm wrong? I studied fluid dynamics at university, and work with it daily as a design engineer. I've been doing this at least ten years longer than you. So what makes you think you're so clever?

I guess I should say. I am not trying to be smarter then you NZ or trying to make u look dumb. And I respect your training and debating as thats what it is a debate.

1. Dosent count for much but personal testing of this exsact matter and designes.
2. As far as I have ever reserched or tought this is how CFM's work.
3. The 32yrs my dad has ben building race motors from his own 8 and 9 second drag cars to micky tompsons hydroplane race teams motors and his motors wone natinal titles evry year. This is what he has tought me to be acuret.
4. My time with the people who build my motors on my dirt bikes and time at pro circuit with them building some of my motors this is how they as well exsplaind flow carectoristics to me.

I could be wrong but my personal testing of this application has showd a curve as I described acordingly to the setup. So my views on it are slightly strong still.

I think you are getting this distance confused with the manifold distance AFTER the throttle body... That's when it counts.

I wasn't that concerned about either...

You keep mentioning a "curve", which I assume means the shape of the power curve on a dyno? So have you actually dyno-tested various intake designs? Why haven't you posted the results of this dyno testing to back up your claims?
