Installing Turbo Xs BOV

Got the type s from RP, what extra materials will I need. Any hints or tips from anybody who has this, before I start the install will be greatly appreciated. Also if anybody has any pic's of it installed already. I never installed a bov before and want to do it right. Without tearing **** up. BTW this is on a 89 TII, with stock intercooler.

refer to the manual, it helps,
one of the hoses goes to the wastegate i believe that is,
if u losen up the airpump and remove it, u can see the connection

the other ends probably goes to the boost sensor hose,
i did mine long time ago and don't quite remember, freezing outside at night now, lazy to go out and check it

good luck

i have the turbo xs type h racing bypass valve on my car. i simply used some radiator hose and some clear hose i found at home depot, and some hose clamps. get the rad hose to be the same outer diameter as the bov. put the clear hose over the bov and the radiator hose, and use hose clamps holding it all together, then use a hose clamp to hold the bov onto the intercooler piping. look at these pics

hope this helps

I think you are confusing a blow off valve with a boost controller.

IMHO the BEST way to install an aftermarket blow off valve is to have the flange welded onto the pipe where the stock hose comes off. This is what I did for my HKS Super Seqential and it looks VERY nice and professional. I'm not sure if the Turbo XS Type S will fit in that area welded on... you probably just need to play with it and see. If you can fit it... then all you need to do is to find someone who can weld Aluminum.

To install:

You will need to remove your factory compressor by-pass valve. It is mounted on the turbo inlet duct. (black hose thing from air filter to the turbo) The factory setup is the little black round thing with the vacuum line coming off of it. Remove this and block up the hole that you left in the turbo inlet duct. You can re-use the same vacuum line and connect it to the new valve. (Personally I would go ahead and use new hose, but I'm **** like that)

If you have any questions or need more detail feel free to ask

Good luck,

Wicked7-actually the first thing I did was to do a seach on it, and looked on differant websites for over an hour and didn't find squat. Most of all I just wanted a couple of pic's of other peoples setups, cause I know installing it, isn't to difficult. Thats why I hate posting a question on this forum, b/c there's always that "one guy". Mabe this helps out some other people who have the same question, or who are curious about the bov. Thanks for nothing wicked7.
