Carfax reports that I have a TII vert!!
This is very strange, I just ran Carfax on my 91 vert and it reported that it's a turbocharged aspiration vehicle!! Damn, these guys are good. How the hell did they know I wanted to turbocharge my vert. Anyways, can someone with a vert ran their car through Carfax and see if they get the same result? I believe there's a post with free Carfax code on the forum right now. Thanks.

When I got my insurance, they asked me if it was a turbo or not. Since there were no turbo convertible options on their computer system and I think I'm rated as a non-turbo two door convertible. The thing is, the Carfax report shows that I have a 2 door turbocharged convertible! Can they get that information if you turbocharge a non-turbo car? I am in the process of a TII conversion(it's been 6 freaking months) and I'm don't know what I'm going to do about getting it insured.

the covertables were turbo everwhere else in the world. what is your vin? is it JM1FC351? or JM1FC352? 352 might show up as a turbo even though it means you have an airbag

My vin is JMIFC352. Does the 352 designate a car with turbo and/or with airbags? So, what about N/A cars that came with airbags, do they have the 352 designation on the vins or the 351 number?

What CarFax sees is...the number "2".  All turbo FC's in the US should start out with this VIN string:  "JM1FC332..."  CarFax is not smart enough to differentiate an FC332 versus an FC352 - duh.
All VIN's with FC33 are "3-door coupes".
All VIN's with FC35 are convertibles.

Thanks guys. I was worry for a second that the pervious owner had done something with the vin # on the car. Anyhow, hopefully my car will be done next month and I'll be driving a TII vert as they had reported on Carfax.com.

the JM1FC35 is the vert
the 331 is the na and 351 is vert na
the 332 is a t2 but,
352 is a vert with airbags.
so the 1 and 2 mean different things depending
on weather its a coupe or not
