Installing my S-AFC, need some advice please...

I just got my S-AFC the other day and I'm ready to install it. I'll dyno my car on Saturday so I can get a good setup. After my dyno, I know I'm gonna come back here and ask more questions on how to set it up against the dyno results. But for now, here are some of my questions:

1. Do I need to reset my timing because mine is about 5 deg advanced right now?

2. Anything I should watch out for when installing it?

3. Should I connect everything before the dyno or after the dyno?

I would appreciate any replies. TIA.

You should know how to splice and solder wires and be comfortable with your ecu, get the fsm and look at its diagram. I would remove the advance. Connect everything before the dyno, run it once without any settings and then tune it with your other runs.

Hook up your o2 sensor

I belive the Yellow wire is unused in a normal RX-7 installation. I spliced that yellow wire into the o2 sensor reading from my stock sensor. You can look at your 02 sensor voltage under "Sensor Check". I believe it is INT 3. Can anybody confirm I am right on the "yellow" wire?

you change it while on the dyno... you need a wide band o2 with you. they should have one. you do a run while looking at the wide band. you adj. then you do another run. adj, run. untill it's good. if they don't have a wide band 02. there is really no point in going. a dyno number by itself an't gona help you.

try dynoing before and after the timing change to see all your stats. Try it stock and then try advanced.
