Installing A/C into non-AC car ?
I have AC from my TII and i don`t need it. How hard is it to swap it into other FC which was never equipped with AC ?
I could imagine it but if someone done it, i would appreciate any tips.
Thanks a lot

I've never done one on a 2nd gen, put the 1st gen was fairly easy.
The a/c unit, evap assmbly, condenser, lines, or even the compressor wiring, shouldn't be much of a problem, as you have a donor available. I'm not certain how the idle would be increased. If it's done through sensors and the ecu, then that might be a concern running more wiring to the sensors, ecu, etc., but I'm sure it can be accomplished.

Why would you have to remove that? I don't believe non-ac cars had the AC unit installed regardless, so you'll have to pull the dash for that (if it isn't), then it's basically just moving the hardlines over and then the compressor which is on the power steering side, should be no need to touch the turbo/etc.

I know compressor is easy to remove/install but other stuff makes me bit worried.....i should trade my A/C and some other stuff for 3years not running 1990 TII. But i have to do some work on guys 88TII, including install of A/C...and i`ll have to remove it from my car too...i have only removed compressor.....

I'm pretty sure those hardlines can be removed without taking it out of the car, if I remember right it just follows the passanger inner fender to the front, nothing to hard to manage. It's just the dash part that I would be worried about
