installed Rebuilt engine but will not start
i installed a rebuilt engine in my 1990 convertable and it refuses to start where should i begin looking for problems or mistakes in the installation
Most of the time, especially with new rebuilds, if it doesn't start on the first couple cranks, you flood the engine. So, unflood it and try and start it again. Repeat as necessary.
That's assuming that you have air, spark, compression, and fuel.
When it does finally start, it's gonna smoke like a train for a while... so make sure you have more than adequate ventilation.
Edit: Hey, welcome to the club!!!
