installed new taillights and there's a gap?

installed new taillights and there's a gap?

Does this gap seem like it's too big? It's present on both sides.

It looks like you are missing the taillight seal. It's FC01-51-159A and FC01-51-169A.

does that go around the whole perimeter or only the top and left side?

Around the top and the outside. It stops in the middle for the license plate holder.
