Installed my intake filter and small problem about rpm's

I installed my aftermarket filter and now the rpm's are slower(i think) from 1-4k rpm's and after that you feel a small boost and it goes quicker..i don't think it used to do that with the stock box...

what could be wrong....?

hot air = slower... make sure the filter is not in the bay or at least make a heat shield for it... or do what it says in my write up

Did you get some cheap APC filter or something? Maybe it's even more restrictive than the stock airbox.

What about the K&N intake kit? Does that suck in air that is too hot in its install location?
