Installed my Electric Fan over the long weekend!
Thanks guys for your input on installing the Flex-A-Lite Black Magic Electric Fan. For those who remember, I was not sure what to use for an Ignition source. I went out on a limb. I decided to wire up this wire directly to my battery. As you may know, this E.F comes with a built In thermostat. So I preset It at the given temp than shut my car of. So from know on my fan runs for about 2-5 minutes after I shut down the ride. It runs until the temp. goes below the pre set allowing for additional cooling. It provides additional protection on keeping the internals cool. Thanks once again guys!

Great to here you got it going. But...
That doesn't actually work. When the motors not running, there's no coolant being circulated. So the only thing your fan is cooling is the coolant sitting stationary in the radiator. It's also sucking a lot from your battery. I'm guessing you hooked both the B and + terminals to the battery? Just wire that + terminal to an ignition source. Easy.
No probs keeping it cool so far?

None whatsoever. I guess I should have worded It by saying the radiator Is easying of some heat with the fan running for a short while after. I did hook up both B AND + to the battery. If I do use the Ignition source, I'm abit sceptical using the 12v diagnostic plug at the Leading Coil.

Yes Fingers. I was told by another GXL owner that he is using your suggested set up. Let me see how he put It. "The AAS that Is here, but no longer used, Is sitting here begging to be used". I have a GXL aswell but prev. owner had dissasembled the AAS and associated wiring-Bastard! Any how, I guess I'll see what I can do.

I used a Perma Cool 16" fan from Jeg's (2950cfm) and a thermo switch mounted in the t-stat housing. (under $130 for everything delivered)
Ignition switching comes from an unused connector on the relay bank just forward of the battery.
Relays only require a small fraction of an amp to latch, so where you tap power from is insignificant if not trivial.
