Installed mazdacomp transmission mounts...

I started working on my car at like 10 this morning (at home again), cracked off the intake manifolds to cap off the AWS hose (which was hard as a rock), replace the vacuum hoses, and to replace the injector grommets (with 10mm silicone hose... seemed a little loose though), etc...

then I set off to replace the transmission mounts with Mazdacomp mounts... wow, that wasn't fun...

Spent a lot of time fighting the exhaust for space to get to the bolts, then realized I had to unbolt it to put the crossmember back on (since the new mounts are stiff and wouldn't bend enough to let me force it in, like I forced it out)...

but then one of the exhaust bolts (y-pipe bolts) got rounded off (don't know why, I think I put antiseize on it), so I had to spend like 3 hours with a dremel and a cutting wheel (actually, 4) to surgically destroy it until I could get it out... I had a Sawzall available but I couldn't fit it under the car to get to the bolt...

After unbolting it, it was a bit easier, although I had to change the height at which I had the transmission until the other Y-block finally went in...

I finished at like 8 PM... you can imagine what I smelled/looked like afterwards.

And yet, having to scrape those damn paper gaskets off my throttle body was probably still more annoying than installing the transmission mounts... which is why I just use RTV most of the time (or paper gaskets covered in RTV).

Tommorow I need to unbolt my OMP so see why the O-ring is leaking... and install the air pump I ordered... running with the ports closed is soooo not fun. (not to mention bolt the exhaust back up once I get a replacement bolt).

If I still have an idle problem I'm gonna be uber-pissed.

Now that I've driven it with them installed, I can say the increase of vibrations is negligible (maybe I can feel them more through the gas pedal, dead pedal, and hear any loose hard items vibrating more, but that's it), and the transmission may have stopped bouncing up and down (didn't see it doing it, but I didn't have much time to look since it was dark and raining).

It may have also slightly reduced my horrible thumping noise... by half or so.
